Coronavirus donation

The Electrolux Professional Group donates € 100,000 to the hospitals of Pordenone and Modena as support for the coronavirus emergency.

In support of medical staff involved in the fight against coronavirus, Electrolux Professional confirmed the donation of 100,000 euros to the “Santa Maria degli Angeli” hospital in Pordenone and the Policlinico Hospital of Modena, both close to the two Italian manufacturing sites.
The donation has already been used for the purchase of urgent medical supplies and equipment, such as ventilators, needed to treat COVID-19 patients.

“It seemed right to make a contribution to the healthcare realities closest to us in the area where we operate and where many of our Italian employees live” comment the General Managers of Electrolux Professional Italy, Patrizio Mazzocut and Andrea Rosi. “With this donation, we would like to express our closeness to the medical staff who are on the front line to face this global emergency”.
The General Manager of Azienda Sanitaria del Friuli Occidentale, Dr. Joseph Polimeni, and the Management of the Azienda Ospedaliera di Modena thank the Group for the important contribution in favor of healthcare and of all citizens who, in this delicate moment of emergency COVID-19, must receive adequate care and assistance.

“As a company, we have a responsibility to be a good citizen in these difficult times and our starting point is Italy – a hugely affected country and home to the one-third of our employees,” says Jacob Broberg, SVP, Communications.
“However, we are also looking towards offering more support further afield to countries where we have a considerable workforce, lending a helping hand close to our communities that are affected.”

The Electrolux Professional Group has chosen to donate to these two companies having, in their respective cities, two production sites: one in Vallenoncello, in the province of Pordenone and the other in Spilamberto, in the province of Modena.
